Reno Omokri,  former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, on Wednesday reacted as President Muhammadu Buhari was declared winner of the Saturday’s presidential election

Omokri, who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDPs presidential campaign team congratulated Buhari for what he termed a “stolen mandate.”

In a tweet, the former presidential aide wrote: “Congratulations on your stolen mandate. You DID NOT win an election. You won a selection, but lost integrity. I congratulate you for your theft. If God spares my life and yours, I will torment you every step of the way.

“Congrats for revealing your true nature. There is now no difference between you and the politicians you look down on with disdain. You are corrupt, like them. You rig, like them (only less intelligently). Unlike them, you pretend to be a saint.”

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had on Wednesday morning declared presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of Nigeria’s 2019 presidential election.

This follows the official announcement of results from 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) by the commission.

Buhari polled a total of 15,191,847 votes, compared to the 11,262,978 votes recorded by Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

While Atiku has gained more votes, winning the incumbent President with wide margins in States in the South East and South-South, Buhari gathered insurmountable strength in the North.

A total of 73 presidential candidates participated in the election which held on Saturday.
